LECTURES AND PUBLIC STAR PARTIES FOR 2006



CLUB MEETINGS, 2006 - 2007

Meetings this year will be at the Target Range School.  When weather permits, we will set up scopes
on the school grounds.

October 13th at 7:00 PM

November 17th at 7:00 PM

No meetings in December

January 19th at 7:00 PM

February 16th at 7:00 PM

March 16th at 7:00 PM

April 20th at 7:00 PM

May 18th at 7:00 PM  Lecture by John Mandler:  "Space Craft Today."


STAR PARTIES AND OTHER CLUB EVENTS

March 8th from 6 to 8 PM at the Hellgate Elementary School.  NASA Open House

April 7th from 9AM to 9 PM at the SouthGate Mall.  The club will set up a display table and show off a few scopes at the SouthGate Spring Bazaar and Hobby Show.

April 18th beginning at 8:30 PM at Hunter's Glen retirement facility.  Use road on North side of Home Depot.  Turn right and choose the left most of the two buildings.  Backup dates are April 23 and 24.  We will set up only one of these nights --- whichever offers the first clear sky.

May 12th begining at 10PM at the South Avenue Ball Park for Missoula Parks and Recreation

May 17th begining at 9PM at Camp Mak-A-Dream.  For resident young adults 18-30 years of age.  Emphasis on lunar geology and moon viewing

June 9th beginning at 8:30PM at Council Grove State Park for Montana  Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

June 16th - 17th.  The annual Fly-In at Twin Bridges airport.  This is not an official club event but open to any amatuer astronomy who would like to set up their scope on Saturday night at the airport.  NASA's Frank Borman is expected again this year.  For detail contact kendra@rubyvalleyaviation.com.
